Win Toys from PlaSmart {PlasmaCar, ORBO, Perplexus}

Are you looking for toys that will occupy and entertain your child for hours on end, yet are educational, simple and fun? Check out PlaSmart!

This week we greeted the arrival of simple yet captivating engineering marvels that occupied everyone in this household.

First was the plasma car.

\This simple to use car has delivered hours of entertainment to our daughters as theta enjoy moving the steering wheel back and forth to propel themselves along the surface.  The twisting motion of the steering wheel creates a momentum that causes the car to just go and go till the operator decides to stop.  The car is built to last as it is made out of quality material that can support a rider weighing 220 lbs on any smooth surfaces.  I would also place a top speed of this ultra cool car at around 5-10 mph.

The next item up for review is the Perplexus and  Perplexus Rookie from PlaSmart Inc. These 2 battery-free time killers are a hoot in our home.

The objective of this sphere shaped obstetrical course is to get your ball to the finish line.  The sphere’s themselves are approximately 8 to 10 inches in diameter and have hundreds of meters of trails to follow.

My husband can not get enough of the Perplexus, he even brought one to his office. Here is what he had to say about it: “I love these games.  They require concentration and finesse, both of which I struggle.  As frustrating as this game can be, it is still fun to make it over obstacles and barriers that have taken lots of lessons to learn.  Persistence pays off and is a great feeling“. I love that this is a game that can be loved by everyone in the family. Fun for ages 4 to 104!

Not only is this game highly entertaining and addictive, it is a great tool for cognitive development, encouraging both children and adults alike to exercise their problem-solving, motor and dexterity skills, as well as improving their hand-eye coordination.

Perplexus The final product to review is the Orbo, a fun toy for children ages 3+.  This puzzle ball follows the same principles as the Rubik’s Cube and has captivated by oldest daughter and amazed us at her Rain Man abilities to conquer this epic playing field.  The Orbo is a simple ball with several colorful balls that move around inside the ball and pop out of colored openings.  The object is to snap this colored balls into the matching colored rings.  There are 11 colors to match with only 12 openings to work with.  This is a fun game and challenges me on all levels…especially when my 6 year old daughter can beat me.

Here is a video of our daughter completling the ORBO after having me personally mix it up as difficult as I could make it.
