What is one staple that you always have in your cupboard? For us it is tortillas. Our kids love all kinds of meals made with the flat breads. Since our family loves tortillas so much, I have made the same meals with them over and over and over again. So when I got the chance to receive the Tortillas To The Rescue Cookbook I was thrilled to get some new ideas and recipes!
The Tortillas To The Rescue Cookbook provides you with 150 quick and easy recipes.
Stuff, wrap, roll, bake, fry – there’s no limit to what you can do with them. Tortillas to the Rescue goes way beyond the Mexican classics, showing you how to make dozens of tortilla creations. Packed with step-by-step instructions and helpful tips, the cookbook teaches you to take that pack of tortillas you already have in the fridge and quickly and easily turn them into something amazing.
The introduction of the cookbook, gives you a history on tortillas and the right way to store them. Did you know that they stay longer and fresher if they are kept in the fridge? We always kept ours in the cupboard, but I have since moved them to the fridge. The Tortillas to the Rescue Cookbook has recipes for everything from breakfast, soups, main courses, casseroles, desserts and MORE!
The day I got the book, I browsed all the recipes trying to find something new and tasty to share with my family. I came across the Cinnamon Tortilla Crisp with Yogurt Dip recipe and thought it would be a great night lunch snack before bed. So that day I made sure I had all the ingredients and before bedtime I made this snack.
We as a family really enjoyed the flavor of the tortilla chips (although next time I won’t bake them quite as long, since they got a little dark on me). The yogurt dip for the tortillas is VERY delicious, and found it works great as a fruit dip too.
There are many other recipes in the cookbook that I am looking forward to trying out with my family.
