The Way Mom Uses Her Pen
Writing out the “Honey Do” list ~ One thing I have done to keep myself and our house organized, is write out a list of 4 or 5 things that HAVE to get done on a given day. It helps me stay focused and I know if I can get through those 4 or 5 things I have accomplished lots. On this list is also a couple of things labeled for my honey to do 🙂 With him having this list, he knows certain things he can work on without getting in my way, LOL!
Writing love notes for her child’s lunch ~ Being away from your child for a whole day can often leave you wondering “How are they doing?” “Are they having a good time?” “Has someone encouraged them today?”. Once way that can be part of my daughter’s day even though she is at school is to slip a little love note into her lunch. Each morning I write a note encouraging her, telling her I love her, and wishing her a fantastic day. Each day at lunch time she excitedly opens her lunch kit and reads what I wrote to her. When she gets home from school and I unpack her lunch kit, I flip the note over to see what she has written me. It is a fun little tradition that we have started and I hope she carries it on with her kids.
Writing a birthday card out for her best friend ~ I love cards! I think they are the perfect way to encourage someone and lift spirits. Especially on birthdays. While most of my family has gone away from cards at birthdays, I still make sure that ALL my nieces, nephews, sisters and friends receive cards on their birthdays.
Making that weekly grocery list ~ Everyone knows, this has to be done. Making a list of items that you have run out of in your pantry or fridge and getting grocery items for next weeks meals.
