This is the second year that our family is taking part in the Garden Fresh Club through Stoneland Orchard. Every week for 12 weeks we pick up a basket full of pesticide-free vegetable.
Garden Fresh is a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program.
It works out really well for my family because I have not yet committed to wanting to have my own huge garden – I’d never be able to grow the variety that we get through our membership. Stonelane Orchard’s Garden Fresh Club is perfect for us, we buy a membership and, in return, receive a share of seasonal produce each week throughout the farming season. There is even the option to buy a half share which is great for people who don’t need quite as much.
Each week members pick up their share of fresh produce at Stonelane Orchard in Steinbach, Manitoba or at the St. Norbert Farmers’ Market in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
What do you get from your Garden Fresh Membership?
• 12 weeks of pesticide–free, nutritious farm produce
• An open invitation to Stonelane Orchard – come and visit or share in the gardening
• Regular Stonelane Orchard bulletins with delectable recipes and information on upcoming events
What do you think of the idea of being part of a Garden Fresh Club like the one through Stonelane Orchard?

There is something similar here on Vancouver Island...I am still a little confused with the Kale that was received a few times but homemade kale chips turned out great!

Sounds like a great idea! We don't have anything like that around here but we do support local fruit/vegetable markets

What a great idea! We need something like this around here. In the meantime, I'm going to keep supporting our local farmer's market - love fresh local produce!

I love organizations like this! We don't have a stonelane orchard in my area, but we have a group co-op that is able to get pesticide free produce at massively reduced prices each week. I seriously love it! It saves a lot on our grocery bill and we are getting better produce than what we can find in our grocery store.
