Happy National Children’s Dental Health Month everyone!
Earlier this month I had the privilege of attending the xylitol seminars in Cancun, Mexico. I’ve been back for just over a week and I still have not processed everything I learned. The conference was incredible and I learned about the many health benefits of xylitol. Every month I will be sharing information that I learned from attending the seminars as well as offering my readers the chance to enter to win some xylitol products from XLEAR – The Xylitol Experts.
So what is Xylitol anyway?
- Xylitol is a naturally occurring sweetener
- It looks and tastes like sugar
- It is low-calorie
- It is low-glycemic (Making is a good choice for diabetics)
- It blocks the harmful bacteria in the mouth that leads to tooth decay
I attended numerous sessions about the benefits of xylitol. Our family had been chewing Spry xylitol gum for years, and we loved it, but learning what I did made me love the product even more. I did not know that xylitol can reduce ear infections. My daughters never have ear infections, but I had not made the connection that the xylitol in their diets may be preventing them – bonus!
A popular product for babies and young children is the Spry Baby Banana Brush with Strawberry-Banana Toothgel.
If you have specific questions about Xylitol please leave a comment asking them. I will do my best to get you the information!

My two grandsons, 3 and 6, have inherited bad teeth. The 3 year old has had dental surgery and the 6 year old has fillings already. This would be a great product for them.
