I love meals that I can make in a hurry, saying that, when it comes to real food, it is sometimes hard to find an option that is quick and healthy. These salmon patties are the perfect solution and are a favorite for our family.
I posted a picture of our salmon patties on Instagram and Facebook and soon I had a number of people asking for our recipe, so here it is. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
These salmon patties are healthy and quick to make – serve them as a burger or on top of a bed of coleslaw and you have a delicious meal.
- Prep Time: 2 mins
- Cook Time: 10 mins
- Total Time: 12 minutes
- Yield: 5-6 patties 1x
- 2 cans salmon
- ½ fine diced onion
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp arrowroot flour
- 1 fine diced pickle
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil of choice (coconut oil, lard or butter) We prefer lard.
- Mix together all the ingredients till well combined.
- Form into patties and fry in coconut oil, lard or butter in a cast iron pan over medium/high heat for about 4-5 minutes per side or until desired crispness.
- Note: If you use coconut oil they will not brown up as nice as with lard.
