Practicing more than just Puzzles!

The children usually pick work to do on their own. Today 3 of the children decided to work together on 1 mat. They picked our 2 Beleduc body puzzles (a girl and a boy) and the completed them together. I observed from a distance as this was new for them to all work together on 1 mat.
Once they had the puzzles completed for the fourth time and the mat put away one of the children came up to me and whispered…”we were practicing our teamwork”
(I could have laughed out loud, co-operation had not been well attained earlier this week. I love that they had their own lesson in grace and courtesy!)

Oh wow. This is proof that children are really capable of teaching themselves! We just have to create a learning environment for them and we'll be amazed at what they'll discover and develop. Thank you for sharing. :)
