Our Potty Party!

I was selected from to host a potty party from Pull-Ups. (It was not in conjunction with our blog, but it was so much fun that I decided it would be a perfect fit for our FUN FRIDAY post!)

Pull-ups kindly sent us some fun decorations, a girt card to boy some snacks, a fun CD, some coupons, a dance mat and DVD’s for all the kids!

Want to see the potty dance for yourself? This is not my video, it is the Pull-ups potty dance video!

We had 8 children attend our party. The children had fun trying to learn the dance moves, playing with new friends, and listening to the cool dance music!!!  I think the moms and children alike all enjoyed the yummy snack which consisted of strawberries, green and red grapes, banana’s, cheese and crackers and orange juice or chocolate milk to drink!
We had a great group of moms come out. We had a mini “get to know you” time and had a great time discussing potty training – we came to the conclusion that potty training is different for every child.

 What are your best potty training tips? What worked/did not work for you?

I hope you all have a great day! It is raining here so I have some fun indoor activities planned to make the best of this rainy day!!!

Haha looks like fun :)

My best advice for anyone who is thinking about potty training their child is this;

Every child is different. They will use the potty when they're ready to and not before. If parents push it, the process will take longer, or there is a greater chance of set backs.

It wasn't until after Racer turned 4yrs old that he was ready to potty train. He did so in less than one month. It's been two years since then and we've had two accidents (mainly because he didn't want to finish what he was doing in order to get to the potty in time).
