The Lottie Superhero Outfit Design Competition #girlsuperhero

Lottie is an award-winning doll for children aged 3-9. The key point of difference is that Lottie has a ‘childlike’ body, doesn’t wear makeup, jewellery or high heels and can stand on her own two feet (always a useful life skill for all girls, big and small).

Lottie is on sale in independent toy stores in Canada including Mastermind and Toys R Us and has won 19 international awards including a Canadian Toy Testing Council 3-Star Award and Neighbourhood Toy Stores of Canada (NETS) Gold Star Winner, and received press coverage in the Huffington Post, Toronto Star and City News etc.

Superhero competition

The makers of the Lottie dolls have teamed up with US non-profit organization ‘Brave Girls Want’ to launch an innovative global competition to get kids aged 10 and under to design a superhero outfit for the Lottie™  doll.

Lottie Dolls

This competition is really exciting and innovative as it will be the first time that a crowdsourced doll outfit design by a child will go into commercial production.

With the release of a whole slew of superhero movies on the way, the makers of the Lottie doll realized that there is an acknowledged lack of strong female superheroes out there, so this is why they thought a competition and campaign with the message that girls can be superheroes too is very much needed.

The prize

–        One lucky child will see their superhero outfit design manufactured and made commercially available in Autumn 2014.

–        The winning child will see their original artwork design, first name, age, city and country on the back of the outfit packaging

–        The winning child will also win the entire range of Lottie dolls, accessories and outfits
