Homemade Sweet Potato Fries

Thursdays are this and that Thursdays where we share recipes and helpful household tips. This week I am going to start with a recipe.

This is a recipe for ama-zing sweet potato fries- it’s one of my guilty pleasures that I just had to share. They are crispy on the outside and melt in your mouth on the inside… don’t believe me give it a try. It’s pretty simple- here are the steps:

While I know it’s not the healthiest of recipes- I do believe we ALL need to indulge a little from time to time and enjoy some of our favourites. This is not something I make regularly- but my family loves it and I love to please them.

I like that it’s sweet potato’s rather than regular potato’s- at least it has something going for it health wise! lol!

If you decide to attempt this recipe let me know how it turns out- I would love to hear feedback. I have not attempted to substitute baking instead of frying so I am not sure if that would work- but you are welcome to try it out and again I would love to hear if it turns out.

I've never tried doing sweet potato fries before because I'm afraid they wouldn't be crispy and then no one would eat them

I have never had sweet potato fries before. Weird I know. I am super excited about this. I have a super duper picky family and I think even they would like this. I am also going to try your dip idea. I will let you know how it turns out. I just love when bloggers post recipes. They are always things my family will eat and things I can afford to try.

I have tried the McCain prepackaged Sweet Potato Fries. I must admit I prefer regular french fries to sweet potato fries. I find the sweet potato fries too sweet for my liking.

I love to bake my sweet potato fries.

I lightly sprau them with oil, sprinkle with cinnamon and bake at350 for about 30 minutes until tender.

They are great hot or cold!
