My husband and I live in a heritage home that was built between 1923 & 1928. We have been slowly working to renovate our house one room at a time. Since February is the Bath Event at Home Depot, we decided to complete a bathroom in the basement of our home.
With an older home there are often challenges to overcome, but they are never impossible. The biggest challenge we knew we would have would be the very low ceiling. We also had to be creative with layout of the space. We want this space to be a comfortable guest bathroom that will also act as our laundry room.
Here are some of the items we selected from Home Depot to help us with our bathroom project.
We had to find a shower that would fit in a room with a low ceiling. The MAAX MAGNOLIA ROUND Acrylic Shower kit with MAAX Magnolia White Acrylic Wall Set would be a perfect solution.
We also picked up some eco-friendly taps for the bathroom sink, a shower head, an exhaust fan and other products that our contractor needed to complete the renovation.
With a limited budget, low ceilings and a fast deadline, I hope you will stay tuned to see how we make out with our Home Depot Bath Event challenge.
