Flower Nail Art ~ Meg’s Nails

Flower Nail Art

This is another design that I did using Nicole by OPI New Years Collection. I used That’s Putting it Mild and Taupe of My Class along with the basic black and white. I absolutely love Taupe of My Class.  It might look like it would be a boring colour but on the nails it never fails to give you a top notch look. These colours complement each other very well and I was excited to try a design with just the two of them to show you how awesome they are!

I used a larger brush to make the body of the flower. To be honest it really doesn’t look good at first but the black outline is what clinches the look. Make sure your black lines aren’t too think though. Rather have to go over it again than to put a huge thick line and destroy the elegant look you were going for.

I used a smaller brush to make the accent petals with That’s Putting it Mild and swept the black around that too. I added some dots with the darker colour in sets of three to finish the look.

I really enjoy working with OPI polishes and love this New Years line. Although OPI has a huge range of colours, they never stop trying to give their fans more to work with, and this line is a great example of that.

Meg's NailsMegan is a 16 year old student, in grade 10. Her passion for nail art started at around age 11 but she never got into doing designs until this last summer when she and her family moved to Steinbach. Megan loves trying new designs out on her nails and sharing them with the people around her. She would love to pursue a nail career after grade 12 and enjoys having her own private ‘salon’ (Meg’s Nails) in her basement while still in school.
