Easter Bunny Cake Surprise

Let me tell you about this Easter Bunny Cake Surprise – isn’t it AWESOME!?!

Easter Bunny Cake Surprise

I have many great memories of Easter as a kid. My favorite was when my mom would go hide our Easter chocolates outside. I loved searching behind trees and in the bushes, jumping between puddles trying to be the first one to find their little treasure.

I have wanted to have an outdoor Easter egg hunt with my kids but the weather doesn’t ever seem to cooperate. This year the backyard is still covered in many feet of snow and I don’t know if it will melt enough. Good thing they love to hunt inside just as much.

After the kids have hunted for all their treasures it’s a great time for some dessert! Who wouldn’t love to serve a cute bunny cake, especially when there is a surprise on the inside! I mean, a cake is just a cake, but a piñata cake is a cake with a party inside! As I stacked the cake I cut out small rounds in the center and filled it with candy coated chocolates before I topped it with more cake and fondant. That way when you slice it the candy pours out for a magical surprise!

I think this is her best cake yet! I can't imagine getting to dig into this as a kid, nevermind I'd probably give the same reaction today!
