DIY Bird Treats

DIY Bird Treats

A little birdie told me..DIY

This week I wanted to show you a sweet little treat for our feathered friends.

These cute heart-shaped DIY bird treats are so cute and will add a little something to your front yard. I just happened to have everything I needed to make these DIY bird treats – how convenient!

What you need is:

bird treats

This DIY bird treat is super easy, and perfect to do with the kiddos.

All you do is dissolve the gelatin according to the directions on the package, add the bird seed and stir until all of the seeds are coated.

Next, simply spoon the mixture into your silicone mold. Fill halfway and stick your twine in (I made a loop and put a knot in it), and then fill the rest up. Make sure you really pack it in.  Place it in the freezer to harden for about an hour. Gently remove the bird seed treats from the mold and hang on your favorite tree!

(You can check out the bird seed treats Jody’s girls made for the birds on earth day, and on the topic of birds, check out this birdcage cake!)
