OVERdone!

In February, Fisher-Price will be launching a fun new campaign!

The OVERjoyed campaign celebrates the Real Joys of Motherhood. The moments where we as mothers are OVERjoyed, but also those moments when we are OVERwhelmed, OVERhugged, OVERdue, OVERtired and of course OVERstimulated! And all those other OVER… moments! 

I’m going to be completely honest here, January is often the time of year that I feel OVERdone.

What exactly am I done with?  I am OVERdone with this EXTREME COLD.

For the past week the temperature with the wind has been dancing in the -40°s. No matter how many years I have lived in Manitoba, it just does not get easier!

-40° temps with extreme windchill means:

The vehicle has to run that much longer.
The girls have to be dressed that much more.
I have succumbed to my fuzzy slippers, sweat pants and hubby’s sweaters just to keep that chill out.
The girls (and mommy & daddy) are OVERdone from the hours of being stuck in the house!

Good news, It sounds like the cold snap is OVERdone too…we are expecting  temperatures around -18°C (0.4°F) for this coming week and that, although it may seem cold to the rest of the world, is worth celebrating here for this Prairie family!! We can’t wait to get back to skating, sledding, and making snow angels!
