Stuffed animals and dolls are a favorite gift among kids. Often, before babies even know what a stuffed animal or doll is, they have at least 1 in their crib or room.
While these are great gifts, it is always fantastic to give a gift that gives back!
cuddle+kind was created by Jennifer and Derek Woodgate from Milton, Ontario. With 3 young children of their own, they believe that every child should have enough food to eat and an opportunity to thrive. When they saw a documentary on the devastating impact of childhood hunger on millions of children around the world, it inspired them to help.
And that was the day that cuddle+kind was born.
For every cuddle+kind doll purchased, 10 meals will be provided to children in need through the World Food Program USA and the Children’s Hunger Fund.
By contributing to this crowd funding campaign, you will be helping to feed hungry children in North America and around the world.

There is a large homeless population where we live. We regularly give to the homeless, whether it’s pocket change, a $1 or $5 bill, lunch/dinner leftovers (“doggy bag”), snacks from the lunchbox, etc. In the past, we’ve gone & volunteered at the soup kitchen for holidays too. And 1 time, we picked up pizza (carryout) & were given an extra pizza (ordered & cancelled after it’d been made), so we dropped it off at a nearby homeless shelter. Lots of little things like that are easy for us, but make a huge difference for those less fortunate, so we do what we can to give back.

It is part of my daily life to help others. My family is very involved in the community. We volunteer at least twice a week. Every Saturday we feed the homeless at the mission, on Thursdays we run a bible study at the local women’s prison and we constantly collect can goods, winter coats and clothes. We recently helped a family of 6 who lost everything in a fire. All of the things that we collected thru out the year came in handy. I am in the process of organizing a basket raffle to raise money for a group of homeless veteran’s. The state is providing a home for them but not the furniture and things. Growing up we needed help for others and now that we no longer need help we give back to those who still do.
