Creating PDF files

Before I started blogging I did not pay much attention to PDF’s and I had no idea how to create PDF files myself.
It did not take me long to realize that I needed a media kit for my blog so I decided to make my media kit into PDF format so that I could send it out to brands who requested specific information without having the format change when I sent it. I also felt that it was a safer and more professional way to send files.
It was actually not that difficult to create the PDF file and I found out that there were even ways to combine PDF files. I have not needed this option yet, but for people who need to make multiple PDF’s they can upload multiple files and get a single PDF with those documents in the specific order they want them to show up. I had no idea this was even possible.
Although I only know the very basic when it comes to creating PDF’s I’m glad I learned how to do it. So far I have only made PDF documents for my Media Kit and other stat information that I use for blog related stuff.
Tell me, do you make a lot of PDF files? What kinds of PDF files do you create?

I create PDF's for use with homeschooling. It means that I can pull up a file on any of our computers or at my mom's house without worrying about the fact that we all use different word processors. I create the documents in Open Office, then use their easy "convert to PDF" option. This way, it all comes out exactly how I want it and doesn't cost me anything. :)

I convert my Montessori Materials into pdf format because most people have the PDF reader (it solves the problem of whether or not someone has a Mac, PC, Office 2000 vs Office 2010). I have also combined pdf files to form a "package" of materials or training booklets. It is very handy. Kyle Sadler http://www.montessoriforlearning.com

I have never created a pfd file for my blog and the thought never really crossed my mind until you mentioned it. I will definitely have to explore the option, thanks! Right now, I have been trying to create color swatches with images that I like and am having such difficulty, ugh. I have tried using color pallette generator and other websites alike, however, I do not have Photoshop or even have the slightest idea what a css file is, double ugh :-D

I have never created a PDF file and have no idea what a media kit is. You are several steps ahead of me for sure. :)
