Over the past 2 weeks I have been taking part in the MapMyFitness Quaker Challenge. The benefits of taking part in this program are the accountability I have from being part of a larger group of people who are on the same journey as I am.
I know that being active is very important to my overall health so I have made a conscious effort to exercise 45 minutes, 3 times a week. Since starting this regular routine of exercising I have had more energy and just felt all together happier. I love that I can easily keep track of my exercise using the fitness log.
My future goals are to keep exercising 3 times a week and to make note of what I eat. Being accountable for what I eat has often been a struggle for me. I am an emotional eater, and I found the nutrition dashboard made me realize how valuable it is to keep track of what goes into my mouth. Those extra bites I share with my children quickly add up.
I invite you to join the Quaker Heart Health Challenge with me and make healthy decisions today that will help you live a healthier tomorrow! We may not be perfect, but taking small steps and keeping ourselves accountable is something we can do!
February is National Heart Health month. Even if it’s only 5 more minutes a day, what extra step will you take to stay fit?
