I don’t think that you need a lot of clothes in your closet. In fact, you can likely get by with a few clothing staples that you can wear with anything. Then, when a new season comes along, you can shop for 2 or 3 season-related articles that will work with items you already own.

With summer almost in full swing, having a few bright, colorful pieces in your wardrobe will update your look.

Value Village Find clothing staples for summer

#1) A WHITE TANK TOP – Layering is an important part of any seasonal wardrobe.  By having a white tank top in your closet, you can use it under dresses, button-up shirts or even under a sweater.

#2)  LIGHT ZIP-UP SWEATER – Summer weather can turn on a dime.  From cool mornings, to blazing hot afternoons, to chilly evenings, you never know what the weather will bring.  Having a light zip-up sweater that can easily be tucked into the vehicle or bag is a great way to stay prepared no matter where you are.

#3)  TOP TO DRESS UP OR DOWN – Having that one top in your closet that you can wear with a pair of jeans or a pair of dress pants is a must!

Find clothing staples for summer at Value Village

By shopping at Value Village, you will be able to search through racks and shelves, treasure hunting for the perfect items to update your wardrobe for the brand new season. The great thing about shopping at Value Village, is that if you are hunting for a specific item, like a pair of jeans or that perfect tank top, you can easily find the item and size. Items of clothing are grouped together by type and size so you are not spending time looking through the racks trying to find your size, so you have more time to hunt for the perfect treasure!

I was also impressed during my Value Village shopping experience, that clothes tried on and not purchased by others, were quickly put back by the sales associates and were not hanging on racks near the change rooms or in piles.

For me three summer essentials are sunglasses, hat and a kimono. A tank top is a great idea too.
