I don’t know about you, but the autumn season is the best time to be outdoors! Celebrate Autumn With These Fun Fall Activities.

The summer season sometimes seems all too short. With the blowing in of the autumn season, it brings along crisp days and beautiful colors of red, yellow, and orange.

Take advantage of the cooler temperatures by enjoying nature and watching the change of seasons.

Spending time in nature has been known to help reduce stress and promote relaxation. And there’s nothing like breathing that fresh air!

Even just a walk, either leisurely or more briskly if you want to get in some power exercise, will expose you to the beauty of the season. Note how your neighborhood, park, walking trails, and overall landscape of your city change.

Grab a cozy blanket and head to your nearest park (or backyard) with a thermos of hot cider, pumpkin spiced coffee, or hot cocoa and enjoy sights, sounds, and fresh air.

Photograph what you notice.

Find that gorgeous leaf full of brilliant colors and marvel at what nature can do. And most all, take a deep breath and relax.

The fall season brings an abundance of outdoor activities that you can enjoy with friends and family. Here are just a few:

  • Visit a pumpkin patch
  • Apple picking
  • Hiking
  • Bike rides
  • Camping
  • Fall fairs

When weather permits, get outside and enjoy these activities.

Bring the kids and pick apples so you can make an apple pie or candied apples later. Choose pumpkins for decor or carving for Halloween.

Bike around your neighborhood and explore streets you’ve never been down. Hike your local area or camp out and sleep under the stars. Attend fall fairs and enjoy the festivities.

Make memories with your family and friends during this beautiful change of season.

Refocus your fitness routine to include outdoor activities.

You’ll be surrounded by nature and inhaling clean air provided for you thanks to Mother Nature. The weather will be perfect for cardio exercises like running, walking, or biking.

If you’ve never practiced yoga outside, this is the time to do so! Grab your mat or just ground yourself in the grass.

Consider what time of day you exercise. You might find it relaxing to be outside to watch the sunrise or change to an evening run and catch the sunset.

While your exercise activity may remain the same, let nature provide its ever-changing backdrop as a reminder of its beauty.
