Easter hunts are an important and fun tradition for your children to participate in but that doesn’t mean they have to be the same every single year. Sometimes it’s nice to change it up a bit and try something different and unique.
Easter hunts do not have to be all about chocolate and candy. They can be so much more than that!
There may be a reason you don’t want all that sugar laying around the house, or maybe it’s that the kids are getting a little bored of the same old same old every single year. No matter what your reasoning for wanting to change it up, there are many alternatives to those candy-filled Easter Eggs the Easter Bunny hides each year.

Easter hunts do not all have to involve candy and sugary items. Filling those plastic eggs with other items can actually be a great way to create more things to do together.
If you decide to use sidewalk chalk or water balloons, you are giving your children the opportunity to spend time doing outdoor activities. If you do choose to fill those eggs with non-candy related items, you are creating hours of entertainment from that one hunt instead of just candy that disappears faster than you want it to.
So, switch it up this year and make Easter even more fun!

These are some great ideas. I have been trying to limit the candy for all of the "holidays" especially as my kids will get it from family, friends, school, Church, etc. anyway.
