A new, annual cyber shopping event has been born. Online retailers have joined forces with BargainMoose.ca to help Canadians finish their holiday shopping on a budget. “No Minimum Monday” allows Canadians to make purchases and bypass the often costly fees of shipping, without making a minimum purchase amount.
“One of the most annoying things about online shopping is the shipping costs,” said Anna Waters, owner of BargainMoose.ca. “They can surprise you when you get to checkout and make the total of your gift purchase beyond your budget.”
Taking matters into her own hands, Waters contacted Canadian retailers like Roots, Under Armour and Penningtons to see if they would be interested in waiving shipping fees for one day before December 25th and they agreed. “I was surprised at how receptive the retailers were to the idea“, Waters noted “they seem to understand the pressure on everyday Canadians during the Holiday Season.
Since signing up her first store, many more have come on board and “No Minimum Monday” was born. The list now includes stores such as Hatley Nature, Mabel’s Labels, Lenovo, Dyson, Silver Jeans, Jewlr.com, and more. Free shipping is available to anyone residing in Canada, on Monday only.
