If you know even a small amount about nail polish I’m sure you’ve heard the name essie mentioned here and there. Essie nail polish has over 250 different shades to choose from so every girl can find a colour that suits them, and maybe a few more that push them to try new things! Essie Weingarten is the lady who started this brand of polish and is right now the Creative Director for Essie nail polish. This past week I got to try out a few bottles of essie polish and here are the results!
I was actually going to do a fruit post this week. I had pineapple and kiwis all planned out but when I saw this pink I knew it was going to be made into watermelons. Don’t worry, I’ll show you the rest of my fruit on my next post but right now lets focus on essie’s Status Symbol. This is a creamier pink than I’m used to working with but I actually love the way it looks on my nails. I’m not sure I would have bought it myself but now that I’ve tried it out I might have to buy more colours with this texture. The creaminess of it makes me think of summer and it totally suites the watermelons to not have a super opaque background.
Next, I have this conglomeration of blues and white, starting Marshmallow, Where’s My Chauffeur? and Smooth Sailing. These three colours all have very different textures but somehow they all fit together. Marshmallow is a very soft white that is a very creamy colour. If it wasn’t called marshmallow I would name it after clouds, that’s what it reminds me of. Where’s My Chauffeur? is your classic blue. That blue that you can’t get enough of and keep having to replace because you use it like once a week because you love it so much. Yeah, its my kind of blue. It has the perfect consistency and applied very nicely. Smooth Sailing, also featured in my next picture, is a sparkly blue that reminds me of a summer nights sky. It has just a subtle hint of sparkle that isn’t overpowering but has enough that its unique to any other shade of blue I’ve ever seen.
With the wide range of colours offered by essie there’s a colour for everyone, including you!
