11 VACATION MUST HAVES

I think everyone has their vacation must-haves, you know, those things you just can not travel without.

What is your favorite vacation destination?

Vacation time is the time that everyone looks forward to.  It is a time to rejuvenate your mind and body and spend time with people you love.

Of course, there are always those items that are needed for any vacation – today we are going to share some of our must-haves with you.

11 VACATION MUST HAVES

#1) CHARGING CABLES – make sure you have charging cables for all electronic devices along. That way you will not be stranded without your cell phone or tablet.

#2) SIMPLE MEDICINE CABINET – stomach soother, pain relievers and nausea medication can help when simple ailments creep into your vacation time.

#3) FIRST AID KIT – even a small first aid kit from your local dollar store is going to be an asset. You never know when having bandages and antiseptic wipes along will come in handy. Especially when you are traveling with kids.

#4) ELECTRONICS – camera and extra batteries. Even if you have a cell phone that will take snapshots of what you are doing on vacation, if you are taking scenery photos you may want an actual camera.

#5) PEN & PAPER – having a non-electronic way to keep notes can come in handy.

#6) PASSPORT – obviously you will need this piece of ID for international travel, however, I know of people traveling within Canada or the US that prefer to take their passport with them as a primary source of identification.

#7) WALLET – make sure your wallet has both money AND credit cards. In case you are caught somewhere that doesn’t take credit cards, you will want to have an emergency stash of money with you.

#8) EMERGENCY CONTACT LIST – a 2nd piece of ID as well as an emergency contact list in case someone needs to call on your behalf could come in handy in case of an accident, sickness or theft.

#9) COMFORTABLE CLOTHING – and this includes shoes! If you will be doing shopping, sightseeing or just walking along a beach, you want to make sure that you have clothes along that you are comfortable in as well as comfortable walking shoes to prevent blisters and sore feet.

#10) TOILETRY BAG – in addition to your regular toiletry items like shampoo and makeup, make sure you have a shaver you love and trust. Whether you are hitting a warm beach destination or will be sitting by the pool at a hotel, you want to make sure your legs are pool ready!

Here’s a 4-step routine to keep your legs moisturized during vacation:

Aveeno Moisturizer

  1. Cleanse – try the AVEENO® Skin Relief Coconut Body Wash which will leave your skin feeling soothed and moisturized
  2. Lather – Never miss a spot again with the Skintimate® Skin Therapy Sensitive Skin shave gel that helps protect your skin.
  3. Shave – Your legs will feel smooth and sexy after you use Schick Hydro Silk razors. Use the Schick Trimstyler for tricky areas like your knees or bikini area.
  4. Moisturize – Right after shaving your skin is going to be super sensitive. Use the AVEENO® Skin Relief Coconut Lotion to hydrate your skin. BONUS: this non-greasy lotion will allow you to put on your clothes as soon as you are done using it.

#11)  READING MATERIAL – having a book along will help you kill time in between layovers or at the airport.  You can even pull out your book while sitting beside the pool soaking in the sun.

As always, don’t forget to let someone who isn’t traveling with you know what your itinerary is. That way if something goes wrong at home, you can be contacted right away!

For more information and products to get your skin vacation-ready, visit your local Shopper’s Drug Mart and get “legs you’ll love” from Schick and Aveeno.

It's also a good idea to keep photocopies of your ID & passport in your room safe in case your lose the originals, should you have to go to the embassy.

Yup, just like my usual list when I'm off to a place with no holds barred. And I must say, chargers! This post is a must see for anyone going beyond their borders and looking for a nice escapade.

Great tips! I love the Aveno products. I always have some in the house. They work great on dry skin.

This list is right on point. I love that the first item is your chargers. We have had to stop and buy chargers on a trip before because that was the one thing that we forgot.
