If Thomas the Tank Engine Can Grow a Mo, I can too #Movember #Giveaway

*Post written by my husband, Trevor. The man who has never grown a mustache because it’s not in his blood, but is willing to try for a good cause. Cheers to him and Team Thomas this Movember.

Attention ladies….the month of November is one to celebrate a time of year when your men will look considerably better.   How much better? How about Tom Selleck better, or Lionel Richie better, or even The Beatles from 1967 (especially Ringo Starr) better.  Yes I am talking about that piece of hair on the upper lip of men that will drive you crazy.  Yes ladies,  its Movember time.

This year I have decided to take part in Movember on Team Thomas as a part of the Movember Foundation.  And while this might seem like a small feat for some….my confession is, I have always been envious of people like Mr. Selleck.  It would take several lifetimes for me to grow the stash he can grow overnight.  And while I may look funny this month, it is for a worthy cause.

SUPPORT TREVOR HERE!

The Movember Foundation is a global charity committed to men living happier, healthier, longer lives. Since 2003, millions have joined the men’s health movement, raising $677 million and funding over 1,000 programs focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity” .  And all this month I will be a part of Team Thomas (as in Thomas the Tank Engine) as we try and fundraise for this wonderful cause.  And for those who are wanting to support me (and my not so harry cause), you can do so here.

Now how and why should one contribute, other than because its a good cause?  For starters you can donate using Visa Checkout.  And when you donate using Visa Checkout, they will top your donation an extra $10.  And each time you donate, you will entered to win a trip for 4 to the 2016 NHL Winter Classic in Boston.

Also, if you sign up to Move in this Movember Foundation you will be give a free 4 week membership at Goodlife Fitness for the month of Movember

Despite having a house of girls, they are very familiar with Thomas the Tank Engine.  And this month to see him grow a stash will be something exciting.  As an added bonus, the readers of this blog will have the chance to enter a giveaway for a Thomas Shipwreck Rails Set.

Thomas-Shipwreck-Rails-Set

“Get ready for thrilling, jaw-dropping play as Thomas navigates the perilous Shipwreck Rails! Inspired by the Thomas & Friends™ DVD, Sodor’s Legend of the Lost Treasure, the TrackMaster™ Shipwreck Rails Set from Fisher-Price captures all the adventure of the movie.

After climbing the long, steep incline to the top of the ship’s mast, Thomas plunges towards the deck and completely turns upside-down as he speeds along the spiral track! When he reaches the bottom, he’ll discover the lost treasure!

Featuring incredible, upside-down spiraling action, cool molded ship detail, and an auto-reset function that allows continuous play, the TrackMaster™ Shipwreck Rails Set delivers an action-packed playtime experience that’s sure to amaze any Thomas fan. Children ages 3Y+. Requires 2 AAA batteries.”

I have not even scratched the surface of what this month will look like.  There will be updates and we are going to make men’s health a priority.  Help me and lets get this campaign started. Happy growing everyone.

Stay Tuned to see my stash growth (or lack there of) updates.
