Even though it has been a very busy time of year, I have taken some time to relax and reflect. I have had an amazing year and have experienced many blessings.
I wanted to take a moment to thank each and every person who has visited Mommy Moment this year. Each of you are so unique and special and I have smiled when I read your comments, and even the entries into various giveaways.
I started this blog as a way to give moms (and all women) a place to come just for a moment, to get inspired or just to take a moment for themselves each day. The rewards I have received have been far greater than I could have ever imagined.
This Christmas as we decided to give back to our community, I was brought to tears. There are so many people who are hurting and struggling this time of year, and if our donations can bring them a moment of happiness it well worth it.
God has blessed me with an amazing husband and 2 precious daughters. We may not live in a huge mansion or have what the world may consider “rich”, but I am content and feel truly blessed. My husband (as many of you have got to know through his many silly Facebook comments) is more than I could have ever dreamed a husband could be.
Our daughters are growing into kind and caring girls. Although we have had some health issues (GERD) with Kate, our 7 year old, we focus on our blessings and trust that she will continue to get better. Kate has a deep concern for others and has a tender heart and we know she will grow up making a huge difference in this world. Jane brings contagious laughter to our home, she is a miniature version of her daddy and even though she is everything silly, she has a strong character that I have no doubt she will be a future leader one day. I always pray that I will be a good example to my daughters and that I can encourage them to always dream big. It is not perfect grades that make us as parents proud, it is their attitudes and efforts that we choose to praise.
I wish all of you and your families a very Merry Christmas. Thanks for every comment throughout this year….you have seen our girls grow up through the blog, you have been here to celebrate with us when we have had great experiences and you have been with us through the hard times this year too.
Thank-you for being real, thank-you for reading.
Without you, Mommy Moment would not be what it has become.
Merry Christmas with love!
