Reduce clutter in your home office with Dymo

Now a days, the majority of Canadian homes do double duty as a place to live and as a home office. It’s sometimes hard to separate the two since many of the activities overlap.

For example, whether running a business or a household, we all seem to end up with unsorted stacks of business cards from business contacts, lawyers, accountants, friends and people that provide services to help run a household.

The company Dymo has found a time saving way of keeping data from business cards all in one place.

The new Dymo CardScan Personal makes managing contact information fast, accurate and portable. Simply place business cards in the CardScan and capture contact data immediately with the scanning completed in just seconds per card.

The Personal scanner is also designed to take on the road, so it’s ideal for scanning in hotel rooms, planes, trains or at tradeshows. The information is then managed within the CardScan software or in Microsoft Outlook®, Outlook® Express, Palm® Desktop or Windows® Mobile.

MOMMY MOMENT:

When I first heard about the Dymo CardScan Personal I thought that it was one of the best products I had heard about in a long time!  I love to be organized and immediately knew that this product was one that would help in the organizational category.

We did house renovations a year ago and I have business cards from contractors, painters, and appliance sales men.  I also have business cards from people that I have been in contact with through work as well as through church and friends’ cards as well.  Right now they are all in different places.  Trying to find a universal spot and way to store these cards has become difficult for me.

With the  Dymo CardScan Personal, I can easily scan in all the business cards that I have and keep them together in one place.  I can categorize the business cards and either look at all of them, or only the ones in a specific category (ie: business, friends, sales, etc.)

The great thing is, is that my husband and I can both scan our cards into the same program and keep them totally separate.  I think every home office needs one of these card scanners.

The CardScan Personal device retails for $189.99 at office supplies stores (Staples, Grand & Toy, Basics)

Now THAT is a neat home tool! I can see myself using it to organize the house and for homeschooling the kidlets!
