POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS FOR MOMS TO GET THEM THROUGH TOUGH DAYS

The messages that seem to play repeatedly through a mom’s mind can be anything but positive.  In fact, positive affirmations such as compliments from others can also be few and far between.

Motherhood can seem like such a thankless job.

Our thoughts can be filled with our own self-criticisms while we compare ourselves to others and focus on our mistakes. Sometimes, we don’t even realize we are doing it.

The problem is, these thoughts are hard to ignore, and they are doing more damage than you realize.

First things first, you need to change your focus.

Break your pattern of negative thinking. It’s certainly time. Remind yourself who you are as an individual above your role of a Mother and focus on the good.

Think about your internal dialogue. What messages are on repeat in your mind as you settle into bed at night? Are they positive and true or are they negative and harmful?

It’s time to change your internal dialogue.

Repeat some positive affirmations to yourself daily.

It’s a good idea to start saying them to yourself out loud and in front of a mirror. Once you get comfortable doing this, the way you speak to yourself will change and become more positive.

If you think you may forget, set an alarm on your phone to remind yourself.
