Pictures taken with the Canon EOS Rebel SL1

I’ve never owned a digital SLR camera. I have tried to take good pictures for my blog and now that I have the Canon EOS Rebel SL1, I know I will be able to improve my skills and take better photos.

I’ve been playing around with the settings on the camera and am so impressed with all the features. I was a bit worried about not knowing how to use a DSLR, but Canon knows how to make it easy for beginners like myself. I love that this camera is small and lightweight which makes it great to have in my purse so it is always on hand. I find my pictures have more clarity and more of an ambiance to them. You may have already seen the photos and video I took at Oak Hammock Marsh, now I want to show you a few more pictures I have taken the past few days.

As a mom, my aim is not to become a professional photographer. My goal is to capture everyday moments that will become long lasting memories. As a blogger, I also want to be able to share nice photos with my readers. I love that the Canon EOS Rebel SL1 helps me to do just that.

My husband and some friends have been getting their hands on the camera too, it’s awesome to watch all their reactions. It’s been such a hit which is obviously no surprise to me.

Hi, I just got the camera. I love your pictures! What lens are you using to take the pictures? This is my first nice camera. My daughter is having a baby and I want to take pictures of the baby for her. Any suggestions? Thank you, Lynne

Lynne, I use the lens that came with the camera as well as a 40mm. I played around a lot with the settings and am still learning some things - but honestly, you can use the automatic feature without the flash for amazing pictures till you learn about all the options. I am glad you like my pictures and I am sure you will capture amazing photos of your new grandbaby!
