No pictures

No pictures, but what a great day we had today. We do not officially start our Montessori Preschool for another week or so, but this afternoon Snow White commented that she would like to work on some activities. I did not have time to spend the afternoon with her in the classroom, but I welcomed her to go down and choose an activity and she could work at it at the kitchen table.(This way I could observe her but still work on what I was preparing).
Well, it was a good thing that Belle napped for 3 hours, because Snow White worked at different activities for 3 hours…wow!
Here are some of the activities she did:
3 different puzzles (24 – 60 pc)
Large moveable alphabet – practiced laying out the letters for our last name, and practiced Placing letters on the line (I will post about this activity in a few days).
Cutting paper
Using the cut up paper to make an art project which we put out up in a frame in her play room.
Using a hole punch to make holes in paper. When she got bored of that she placed small pony beads in each of the holes. She worked on this for some time.
She also worked on a new activity similar to the Brainy Blocks I posted about a while back.
She also spent some time looking at her sounds book that she made a while ago.
Looking through a new French book we got. She loved the pictures and was quite captured by it.
She also worked with her Chocolate Playdoh and loved the new rolling pin that I found at a second hand store for her. It is all wooden and makes shapes in the dough as you roll it.
I have to say, it turned out to be quite a productive afternoon for miss Snow White. I am excited to see how our days go when really start our program!
