OPI released a new line of core colours for 2014. It is a set of 15 stunning lacquers that are a great addition to their existing shades. Along with these new colours are a quick dry top coat, a matte coat, a 3 in 1 base, top and strengthener coat and a cuticle oil that came out for 2014 as well.

The polishes in this set are:

Be Awesome –> A rainbow of light that takes your breath away.

Sweet Surrender –> Defeat looks sweet when wearing this pink blush.

Fabulous is My Middle Name –> Pink and silver super-shimmer is my game.

Always a Flirt! –> This luminous fuchsia is more than just a wink of pink.

Something About Spring –> When I saw this hot pink, it bloom my mind!

At Least I Pink So –> I’ve got this pretty bubblegum pink on my mind.

I’ll Have the Salmon –> I’m hooked on this peachy-pink!

Yoga-then-Yogurt –> Oh my! This creamy white is quite yummy!

That’s Putting it Mild –> This luscious, creamy nude makes a big fashion statement.

Taupe of My Class –> This earthy taupe is a real overachiever.

I Shop Mintage –> A timeless minty green with real retro appeal.

Teal Me Something New –> This of-the-moment teal has headline-making style.

Oh That’s Just Grape! –> How am I supposed to resist this cool and juicy violet?

The Blue is So You! –> This dramatically dark blue was created with you in mind.

Emerald Empowered –> When I wear this gemstone green, I feel like I can conquer the world!

For this design I used Oh That’s Just Grape!, Taupe of my Class, and This Blue is so You. I also used the 3 in 1 top/base coat and finished it off with the matte top coat.

I loved working with these colours on my nails and enjoyed how they worked together even though they are all very different hues. The matte coat added a different spin to the design and I really liked how it turned out.

What I thought was really awesome was the cuticle oil. I have used different cuticle oils over the years but this one is my new favorite. It has a small brush at the end to apply the oil and has yummy smell to it too! It’s a nice size to store at home or carry with you in your purse to keep your nails looking healthy 24/7.

I love the colours in this New Years collection more than other collections but the way she applied them is just beautiful because you get to see all of the colours at once
