New Table

I have been wanting a new table for the classroom but did not want to spend alot of money. I found an old coffee table at a thrift store. I liked that the top was solid wood! (it is already sanded in this picture) I took it apart, sanded it, bought 2×2 wood for new legs (to make it weigh a bit less and raise the height) and the stained it. Snow White was a big helper! She used some practical life skills in the process! I may need to stain it one more time, but I am pretty happy with the turnout! Especially since it cost less than $10 WooHoo!

The table is 18" high. It may be considered a bit high, but it works great for the children I have as I only has room for 1 table. The younger child usually stands to work at the table while the older one sits.

Great job! There's no better feeling than making something for almost nothing :)

How high did you make the table? Is it for standing or sitting at?
