As a parent with a school aged daughter, I find one of the hardest things to do is come up lunch ideas for her. Although I can not claim that her lunches are always the healthiest, I do try to make them colorful and fun.
I often get asked for tips from parents and my biggest suggestions are to get a few cookie cutters and try to buy a variety of brightly colored fruit/veggies etc.
Living in Manitoba, I find it hard to find a variety of good quality fresh & colorful fruits in the winter, but I just to the best I can with the options that are available.
It’s time to show you what was in my daughter’s lunch box again today.
Her lunch has:
- a whole wheat chicken & lettuce wrap
- raspberry & grape kabobs
- Ritz crackers
- heart shaped cucumbers
- veggie sticks
- yogurt covered raisins
This Fun lunch was packed in a Planet Box.
