Shake It Up by Ivivva ~ Lululemon athletica’s dance apparel brand for girls

If you aren’t familiar with ivivva, it is lululemon athletica’s dance apparel brand for girls. This active wear for girls was created based on extensive feedback from lululemon guests. They wanted dance specific products for a younger age group using similar signature fabrics, technical design features and exciting colors for which lululemon is known.

Shake It Up product is ivivva’s new dancewear collection for girls made in collaboration with Disney Consumer Products. The collection is inspired by the hit Disney Channel series featuring the adventures of Cece Jones and Rocky Blue. Influenced by the spirit and energy of the show’s main characters, the Shake It Up line features fun yet functional gear for active girls. From legwarmers and shorts to jackets and headbands, the collection offers an assortment of athletic apparel and accessories made from technical fabrics in exciting styles and colors.

My 6 year old daughter received an outfit from ivivva and it has quickly become her favorite thing to wear. She has no idea what lululemon is, but she knows she is comfortable and she says the “yoga clothes” are cute. Kate says that she loves the built in hand warmers in her shrug it up shrug and the hidden pocket in the back of the waist line of the pants.

On days off from school Kate gets to come with me to the bootcamp class I attend. She makes sure to wear her ivivva outfit and she does the warm up and cool down exercises right beside me.

Kate has gym class every day at school and she thinks she has to wear this outfit every day just in case they do Yoga exercises in class.  We have to convince her to let us wash it and we have also told her she will have to save her money so that she can purchase herself another outfit. (I think we may have to out this on the list for Santa at Christmas time too).

Although this line of clothes is priced a bit higher than what I would normally spend of my children’s clothes, I do have to say that the quality is excellent and I have no doubt that it will last her till she outgrows it.
