I’m so thrilled to have been selected to be a Nickelodeon Mom! Not only is this exciting news in our house, it also means some fabulous giveaways for YOU my wonderful readers!
Who lives in a pineapple in my living room? The Lego version of SpongeBob Square Pants, that’s who. This week we have the privilege of reviewing the LEGO SpongeBob Bikini Bottom Undersea Party building playset. This set includes all the favorite’s including SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, Mrs. Puff and even Gary and will provide hours of entertainment for our children.
Even though I have girl’s they still love SpongeBob because of the fun nature and interactive playing ability. Because it’s Lego they can make it anything they want. They can create new adventures for all the characters and they can be changed into whatever they want them to be. That is the magic of Lego.
As for our set our girls have spent hours playing and setting it up. Our 6 year old loves the challenge of building things as she is a hands on learner. She was getting frustrated with daddy as he “tried” to help her but she was animate that she could do it on her own. And because it is the loveable character SpongeBob, this makes the toy all the more valuable as an educational tool.
One of the many things I loved about this set is the details that Lego put into this set. Like most Lego there is an emphasis on detail, like the face and shape of all the characters. They are not traditional Lego shapes, however they have still made this characters work into their mold. Even Patrick’s DJ station with turn tables and speakers fit in well with Squidward’s Tiki bar.
This is a great set of any child who loves Lego or SpongeBob. As a learning tool for your hands on kids, or your imaginative kids who love to role play, or just as a way to keep them quiet for a time, this is the toy for your family.
