January Baby

Winter in Manitoba is cold. I am always on the look out for warm, comfortable outerwear for my girls. January Baby is a Canadian Company that specializes in making warm, functional and original children’s outerwear accessories.

January Baby products are made in Toronto using premium quality Canadian polar fleece. They have been in business for 5 years.

Just look at my little one all bundled up ready to brave this cold Manitoba winter!
My little girl will model some of these great products.
First we have the Smitten – the no-escape mitten.
“Smitten the no-escape mittens are for children between the ages of 6 months and 3 years –they are mittens kids can’t take them off!
This is how SMITTENS work: Place the child’s hand into one pocket, wrap the SMITTEN around the child’s back and place the other hand in the other pocket. Then put on the child’s jacket or snowsuit. That’s it! The pockets will come up to the child’s elbows so there is no way the child can pull them off”.
Let me tell you how much I personally LOVE the smitten. My little girl was always pulling off her mittens and her poor little hands would get so cold. Now she says nice and warm and the best part is that she loves the smitten too. I love how they are a full piece of fleece that goes around the back verses a string. It must be comfortable because it has been a hit with our 2 year old!
Next up is the Hat.
“January Baby hats are made specifically with Canadian winters in mind. They have a double layer of fleece around the ears and chin, and cover really well at the back. The fleece is stretchy, so they fit snug to prevent any drafts”.
I love that my daughter can put this hat on by herself. She can easily do up the Velcro closure and I personally think it is adorable!
Here we have a picture of Little Belle modeling her scarf.
“January Baby scarves are double layered so they are super warm. The narrow design is perfect for kids (although grown ups like them too). They have a tuck in loop so you won’t have to tie anything around your child’s neck, and they can go over or under their jackets”.
The number one reason that I love this scarf is because my daughter can wear it to daycare. Since it does not tie it is very safe for the playground and even if she would get caught on something, the scarf would come loose! It is also easy for little hands to put on and is cute just like all of the January Baby products!
January baby also sent along a neckwarmer for my big girl (she is in kindergarten).
She loves the neckwarmer and says that it is soft and warm. She also says that if it is really cold she can pull it over her nose!

January Baby will be updating their current website, but you should still check it out now!  January Baby – Outerwear accessories for spirited kids.

January Baby has offered my readers FREE SHIPPING until Christmas Day. Just use the code JB002 when you place your order! The code is for $5 off, so it works out to be Free for Canada and for US orders, shipping would be $2.

UPDATE: just got an e-mail from January Baby: apparently the code IS for free shipping some one just ordered from Wyoming, and entered the code and got $7 off. Yay!
