Jake & The Neverland Pirates and Strawberry Shortcake Marathons on Disney Junior

Here in Manitoba, Canada, our winters are usually long, cold and hard.  This year however, we have gotten a little bit of a break you could say.  The temperatures have fluctuated from +7 to -40, but spending more time around the -20 and up temperature.  While some people think that this makes winter easier I actually find it harder.  With the extreme back and forth of the temperature, you are never quite sure which days you will be able to enjoy the outdoors and which days you will be shut up inside – sometimes for days at a time.

On those long, cold winter days when the kids are driving you crazy, why not make a pirate treasure hunt – complete with hats, a map with an “X” and eye patches if you can find them.

My kids found Jake & The Neverland Pirates quite by accident one day.  I was looking through our channel guide and accidentally hit the button for the Disney Junior channel.  I started to tell my kids not to get excited because we didn’t get that channel when to their excitement (AND mine!) we got it!

Jake & The Neverland Pirates has something for everyone, boy/girl/young/old.  And if your family is anything like mine, Jake & The Neverland Pirates is a show that is watched daily.  That and Strawberry Shortcake.

Disney Junior is hosting marathons of BOTH shows!

Jake & The Neverland Pirates Marathon will air March 19-23 from 6-7pm EST–with all new episodes starting at 6:30pm EST all week long.  And guess what?!?  There will be a premiere of a special episode featuring Peter Pan in Peter Pan Returns on Friday at 6pm EST.  I personally have not seen an episode with Peter Pan so we will be tuning in!

The Strawberry Shortcake Berry Big Week will start the week of March 26th at 6pm EST including the NEW episode, Where the Berry Breezes Blow on March 30th.

While you and your kids are waiting for these great marathons to take place, why not head on over to DisneyJunior.ca and play Plundering Pup and Jake’s Pirate Rock – 2 Jake & The Neverland Pirate games.
