I’m Not A Hairstylist, But I’m Learning!

As a young girl and even into my teens, I remember sitting in a kitchen chair while my mom did my hair.  She was good at all the “in” hairstyles that accompanied the late 80s and early 90s.

Now that I have a girl of my own, “hairstylist” has been added to my job description.  I’ve managed to master a ponytail, pig tails and braids.  I’ve even managed to master her creation of pig tails AND braids together.

Now that she is a little older and her hair is finally long enough to try out different hairstyles I am kind of in a rut.  I have used a flat iron to straighten her hair to give her a more mature look but I still want to get into more complex hairstyles.  My sister has curled my daughter’s hair with a flat iron making a full head of curls.

I am hoping to be able to learn how to do this.  I know that there are great flat irons for hair out there and many different brands like ghd.

So while I’m not a hairstylist – I’m learning and will keep trying.

What hairstyle does your little girl like best?
