Great Saunas Helps You Get Healthy in 2013 with an Infrared Sauna #Giveaway {arv $2,400}

January seems to be the time when people make a bunch of resolutions, hoping to improve their life and over-all health.  Now that we are 2 1/2 weeks into January, most people have a pretty good idea if they are going to be sticking with those resolutions.

I have never been one to make “New Years Resolutions”.  Maybe it’s because of the thought that no one ever keeps them, so why make them?  I have instead decided to make small goals for myself.  Goals that I know will be acheivable.  Because honestly — are you going to keep going with a goal if all you do is set yourself up for failure?

My first goal of 2013 is to get back into a regular exercise routine.  At the beginning of 2012, I managed to get myself into a regular routine, working out 5-6 days per week.  While I did lose weight and inches, I realized that I felt SO MUCH BETTER and healthier by working out.  Of course, through a summer filled with trips and lots of activities, that workout routine faltered and getting back into it has been difficult.

There are a couple of ways I am doing this.  I have bought a DVD workout system that I think I will love and enjoy.  I have also convinced a friend of mine to do it with me.  She lives in a different town, but we have agreed to push each other and motivate each other to get the workouts done!

I am also a part of an accountability group on Facebook.  Each Monday, we as members need to check in and say how well we ate (or how well we didn’t eat) and how well we exercised (or how well we didn’t exercise) the week before.  Sometimes, what I have to report isn’t good and other weeks I have done really well.  The group helps me stay accountable to someone and also provides a cheering section, encouragement and advice.  We also have Brag Fridays where we can brag about the good things we have done that week — whether it is drinking more water, getting in an extra workout, or losing a couple more inches.

I already eat pretty healthy, no processed goods or sugar usually, no soda and almost non existent alcohol. but i have to try harder to get around. My goal is to STAY out of a wheelchair. I had to use one a few weeks ago and I do NOT want to go that route if unavoidable. More floor exercise to avoid atrophy. My biggest goal of all is to get driving again:)
