How can you have one cupcake and feed a crowd? Well, you make a very large cupcake (a giant cupcake that is). This was so much fun to make. The bottom “liner” is a shell of chocolate that has the cake stacked inside. Buttercream swirls cover the top of the “cupcake”, with some colorful daisies in between. Who doesn’t love cupcakes?!?

Did you just coat the bottom half of the cupcake in melted chocolate and let it set? Did you use candy melts, chocolate chips, ganache?
It is truly a beautiful cupcake!!!

I used the large cupcake pan as a mold. I melted chocolate chips and brushed the "bottom" part of the pan with the chocolate a couple of times to get it thicker. Then I froze it until it would pop out easy from the pan. You could use candy melts and then you would have lots of different color choices. After the chocolate mold was unmolded I layered the cake inside. Hope that helps!
