Fabulous Father’s Day finds from @ScholasticCDA {and a super cute video}

Some Dads

Scholastic has a new book just on time for Father’s Day. Some Dads… by Nick Bland is a great way for your child to talk and celebrate the dad’s in their lives.

This book goes on to describe the different types of dad’s that kids can have. I loved how this book shows all kids that there are all sorts of dad’s and how they are all valued no matter whom they are. Nick does a good job of showing that no matter whom you are or what type of dad there is in your child’s home, they are important and will be there for the child… and that is what matters.

The illustrations in this book are also great. Nick Bland makes it simple for preschoolers to identify with the animals in the book. In fact, my daughter made it very clear that her daddy was the monkey because “some dads just love the outdoors”.

Check out this video to see what we are talking about and how much she enjoys reading this easy to read book. (The 1 minute mark and end of the book make me giggle every time).

This is a great treat for any father to read to his special kids on Father’s Day while trying on his new tie.

And if you need a book for your indecisive child, there is Zoe Gets Ready. In this book Zoe is left up to her demise to get herself dressed for Saturday. This is special because this is the only day where Zoe gets to dress herself. See what wonderful creations Zoe comes up with as she is left to her own devises. My daughters LOVE this book…the pages just keep turning!!

Reading is very important in our home and Scholastic makes it easy for anyone to get a book and ready. Please check out these titles and all the other great options that Scholastic has for your budding young reader.

Thanks @scholasticCDA for these great new finds that have become quick favorites in our home!

So tell me readers, do you have a favorite “DAD” book in your home?
