One thing we love about being a part of Mommy Moment, is the opportunities it presents for our families that we wouldn’t normally have the opportunity to do. One of these great opportunities was the afternoon spent at the Fairmont Winnipeg – in the kitchen with our kids – baking cookies.
When we told all 4 of our kids that we would have the opportunity to attend a cooking class at a hotel restaurant with a REAL-LIFE chef they were excited! In our homes, our husbands do the majority of the cooking (however, both of us ladies do the baking) and Angela’s son has taken after her husband in his love for the kitchen, food and cooking. Jody’s daughter Kate, has taken initiative and loves creating foods in the kitchen, making guacamole all on her own – deciding which ingredients she wants to add.
Chef Tim Palmer is great with kids and took time to listen to them, help them and watch them create.
The rest of the staff at the Fairmont were also fabulous making sure that the kids (and parents) were taken care of and having a great time.
The kids enjoyed their little baking stations and being able to create cookies however and with whatever they wanted! They were also over excited that they got to keep their little Chef-in-Training aprons!
Thank you Fairmont Winnipeg for a fun afternoon.

How cool! Is this something they offer on a regular basis or was this a one-time event?
