EATING TOGETHER – HOW THIS FAMILY TRADITION BENEFITS EVERYONE

Eating together is a family tradition that benefits everyone, for several reasons.

Gathering around the table with my family is one of my most treasured times of the entire day.

Our family dinner table is where everyone talks about the important things that are going on in their lives.

We share the ups and downs of the day, we laugh, we eat and most importantly, we bond.

Truly connect.

HOW THIS FAMILY TRADITION BENEFITS EVERYONE

When I think about sitting at the table enjoying a delicious meal with my family, I am reminded of how important it is to connect.

I am reminded that even through the hustle and bustle of daily life, the one thing that truly matters, is our ability to just be together and present in the moment.

I have found great comfort in the fact that eating together has helped to strengthen our family bond.

In fact, it gives our family a solid foundation to build upon.

The fact that we have made eating together a priority and worked it into our family routine, helps to ensure that there is no pushback.

It also helps our kids to know exactly what to expect and gives them something to look forward to at the end of the day.

When we eat together as a family, there is no technology at the table.

There are no distractions to take away from the experience.

Family mealtimes are simply a time for togetherness.

Our family greatly appreciates this time to connect and share.

For us, eating together has become a time of reflection, gratitude, memories, and laughter.

Whether we are eating something quickly before heading off to extracurriculars or we are gathering around the table for an in-depth meal, taking our time to savor every bite, every conversation, and every smile, one thing holds true.

That time spent, is invaluable.

That time spent is important.

That time spent is just for us.

The kids benefit, we benefit, and as a whole the family benefits.

These family mealtimes offer us all something that we can look back on for years to come.

They offer us an opportunity to solidify our bond.

They offer us tradition.

We are forever grateful for those moments and we always will be.

Even if sometimes these mealtimes have ended up being a little dysfunctional, in the end, they were our moments and we wouldn’t change them for the world.
