EASY SNACKS FOR KIDS ON THE GO!

Snack time for kids can be tricky. Let them eat too much, and they may not be hungry enough to enjoy lunch and supper. While it’s easy to plan out and get your kids a snack when you are at home, giving your kids a snack while you are on the go can be more difficult. Here are some easy snacks for kids that work great for those times you are on the go.

Snack time for kids can be tricky. These easy snacks for kids on the go are perfect for at home and those times you are out of the house!

FRUIT – I prefer grapes because they are less juicy than berries and melons.

DRY CEREAL – make a dry cereal snack mix featuring different kinds of your child’s favorite cereals.

AIR POPPED POPCORN – add a little butter if you like

YOGURT – iögo Nano is a great kid-friendly choice!  Thanks to the practical resealable and spill-proof cap, kids can enjoy iögo Nano anywhere without making a mess.

CHEESE – cut into squares or make your own cheese sticks. My kids love it when I cut cheese into sticks.

TRAIL MIX – mix together raisins, sunflower seeds, peanuts, almonds and M&Ms for a delicious snack.

HOMEMADE FRUIT ROLL-UPS — these fruit roll-ups are delicious and without all the processed sugar!

VEGETABLES — Snap Peas, Carrots, Cucumbers and Cherry tomatoes make great snacks.  Add a small container of ranch for dipping (which kid doesn’t love dips?)

SLICED PEPPERS AND HUMMUS

TORTILLA CHIPS AND SALSA

If packaged properly, these snacks can be thrown into a bag making them easy to snack on almost anywhere!

When I think of on the go snacks, I don't really think of dips or sauces. My kids would be a mess if I gave them salsa on the go. I do like the idea of raw vegetables though.

These are adult approved too! Hummus is the best on the go dip.

We make a lot of the snacks listed for on-the-go! Including hummus, although my son eats it with crackers or carrots---he's not a fan of peppers (although I am!).
