Childhood Pressure Cartoon

Saturday morning, the perfect time to grab a cup of coffee and enjoy some cartoons!

Can you relate? Childhood is full of pressure these days.

Cory Graham is married to his university sweetheart and father of two children; (one bossy little girl and a new package born this September). Drawing Carl’s Life cartoons helps him to express that, what comes naturally to most, does not come naturally to all. All of life’s short comings are funny given enough distance and the right angle. Cory’s main philosophy is, “Live life and laugh at it”.

Come back next Saturday for another Carl’s Life Cartoon!

Growing up I never had this problem. My mom could not afford to put 4 kids in activities while taking care of a sick husband on a minimum wage income.

It is sad that some parents feel the need to put their children into as many activities as possible. Yes, you want your child to excel in all aspects of life, but sometimes they need to slow down and enjoy just being a kid before responsibilities crush them into submission as an adult! :)

Also, to the cartoonist: Love that attention to detail in adding the light switches, outlet, and rug fray. Little things like that, that aren't too overbearing and don't detract from the main context, really give it dimension and make it less flat!

Well *I* can't because we limited our kids activities (5 kids and a gazillion activities would have stressed me out so badly, I would not have been a good mom!!!), but I know many many families with schedules like that! Not for me, thanks!
