Chicken Soup for the Soul ~ Say Goodbye to Stress #giveaway {3 Winners}

I’m not going to lie.  Things have been pretty stressful around here the last couple of months.  With being constantly on the run to make soccer games, to end of year wind-ups for different things, and getting ready for a trip without the kids, things are not as calm as I would like them to be.

Chicken Soup for the Soul‘s newest book is titled “Say Goodbye to Stress”.  What PERFECT timing!

We all have stress in our lives.  What differentiates us is how we handle it.  The combination of these stories, from people who have learned how to manage stress, and Dr. Brown’s practical advice, will have you wondering what you were worried about!  Who knew there were so many easy ways to manage your stress?

This book is filled with stories that I can relate to.  The people in the stories relate how they eliminated stress from their stressful, crazy lifestyles by finding a way to relax.  For some it was taking up the art of massage, for others it is allowing others to help them out.

On the back of the book there is a quote that says “You can’t necessarily change the world around you, but you CAN change the way you react to it.”  I have been trying to apply that phrase to everyday life.  When I encounter a stressful situation, I ask myself “does it really matter?”, “is it going to make a difference?”.  By concentrating on my perception and attitude towards different situations I have been able to feel more peaceful during stressful situations.  My husband has even commented to me on how calmer I seem to be.
