BUILD-A-BEAR Cele-bear-ation!

Our daughter had an amazing Build-A-Bear birthday party! 
For this BIG event she invited 5 friends (her sister included) to celebrate her 5th Birthday with her!

We started the party off at home with opening presents, having lunch and decorating cupcakes.

The children could hardly wait to pile into the vehicle and head out to Build-A-Bear! As soon as we arrived we were greeted by our party leader!

We were told we had 2 “rules” we had to follow.

1. Be LOUD
2. Have FUN

The kids all giggled at this – I knew we were off to a great start!
The birthday girl was quick to pick out which bear she wanted to stuff. There were so many wonderful furry friends to choose from! The birthday girl chose a brown bear and little sister chose a bunny!

When all the children had selected their furry friend we were off to get them stuffed. They got to put their foot on a pedal and watch as their animal began to take form! Once all the furry friends were stuffed the birthday girl got to choose a heart for her bear. All the other children were told to take 2 hearts.

Each child took their hearts to a big circle where we all began to prepare the hearts to go into their furry friend. The children rubbed the hearts in their hands to make them warm, they rubbed them on their nose to make sure the animal knows to whom it belongs, and they rubbed the heart by their ear to make sure the animal would always listen.  Then each child took one of their 2 hearts and placed it into the birthday girls bear. I LOVED this part – how sweet that her bear now has a heart full of love from each of her friends! Then the children put the other heart into their own furry friend.

After the hearts were in and the furry friends were all sewn up it was time to shower them off with air, brush them and then pick out some clothing and accessories.

Daddy thought the RCMP red serge was pretty cool. The birthday girl had different ideas LOL. 
Once all the animals were dressed and ready to go we went back to the front of the store where the Birthday girl got to ring a bell and the kids and party leader sang a LOUD happy birthday!  (See our awesome party leader in the background – he sure knew how to put on a GREAT party!)
Each child got a special box to take their animal home in. In the box was more fun stuff including a coloring book and a birth certificate for their new furry friend.
The birthday girl also got a group photograph and a special yellow Build-A-Bear that all her friends got to autograph!

They all walked out, hand-in-paw with a smile and a new best friend!
