Spring break is coming up quickly and it’s almost time for the kids to have a break from school again. Are you looking for spring break ideas for families on a budget?
It can be difficult to find ways to keep the kids busy in a positive way over the spring break, especially because the weather can be somewhat unpredictable.
While it may not be possible for your kids to spend every day outside in the fresh air, that doesn’t mean that they have to be bored the entire break nor does it mean that you have to be subjected to constant whining about how bored they are or break the bank to keep them occupied.
There are many ways that you can spend Spring Break is a positive way without flattening your wallet.

COOK OR BAKE
There are many reasons why cooking with your kids is important and a ton of fun. Spend time together in the kitchen creating new recipes, baking old favorites, and taste testing all your creations.
Get creative and combine new and exciting flavors or find a new recipe online to try.
DANCE
Turn on your favorite tunes and have a dance party in the living room! Make sure you move any sharp furniture out of the way, and enjoy time together laughing, singing, and dancing.
GET CREATIVE
Find different arts and crafts that you can do together. You can use items from around the house to create artistic masterpieces, make playdough or even finger-paint with chocolate pudding!
BUILD A FORT
Grab all the pillows and blankets in the house and create an awesome fort to lounge in, watch movies and color. If you have a little extra cash to spend, try a Crazy Forts system! While you have the fort up, why not eat breakfast or enjoy a picnic in the fort!
If the weather is cooperating, why not build a fort outside!
SPRING CLEANING
Spring Cleaning may not sound like fun to you but it can be!
Make it fun by turning it into a race, assign each person a room to tidy and the person who gets their room cleaned first gets to choose the next movie you watch.
You can also play musical spring cleaning, turn on some music and get started on different rooms. When the song switches so do your assigned rooms.
Spring Break on a budget can be an amazing and fun time for the entire family without having to be a burden on your wallet.
What do you enjoy doing with your kids during Spring Break?
