Everyone likes to have a bright, confident, healthy smile.

But did you know that there are actually health benefits to having that gorgeous, healthy smile?

Oral B Prize Pack

3 Health Benefits of Good Oral Health

1.  That Confident, Healthy Smile will Boost Your Self-esteem ~ Walking around with an un-healthy smile doesn’t do much for us in the confidence area.  Those with un-healthy smiles, rarely smile.  I don’t know about you, but when I feel confident about the way I look, I am a happier, more out-going me!  When I feel happier and out-going, I like to do things like exercise and get out of the house.  Feeling better about yourself is one of the most important health benefits to your body!

2.  Reduces Risks of Infection in Your Body ~ Gingivitis is an inflammation of the gums in your mouth.  Normally it occurs because bacteria grows on the teeth.  Keeping bacteria out of your mouth, prevents it from spreading to other parts of your body.  Bacteria can cause infection.  Keep up with brushing, flossing and mouth rinsing can help keep this bacteria out of your mouth and out of your body.

3.  Helps Pregnant Women Carry a Baby to Term ~ My annual dentist appointment always ended up being right in the middle of both of my pregnancies.  My dentist was extremely happy to see me during both appointments.  He kept going on and on about how important it was for expecting mothers to make sure that their oral health was at 100%.  He said that a lot of woman had gingivitis during their pregnancies and that there was research to suggest a relationship between gum disease and low-birth weight or premature babies.  Mamas, what better incentive to take care of your oral health than for the reason that it could protect your baby!

So, what do YOU use to keep up with your oral health?  Do you still use that manual toothbrush that only cleans your teeth 1 way?  Canadians nowadays change their phones, computers and tablets constantly, to make their lives easier.  Why not try the Oral-B® Professional Deep Sweep Triaction 5000 and give your mouth the clean it deserves?

During April, Oral Health Month, Crest and Oral-B want you to pledge to get a more confident, healthy smile by using Crest and Oral-B products for 30 days.  For every pledge they receive, Crest and Oral-B will donate $1 to the Dress for Success charity.  The Dress for Success charity provides professional clothes, career development tools, and support to disadvantaged women.  This charity helps give women the confidence to succeed in the workplace.

I think that I should brush my teeth more. I do floss lots, but brushing is only once a day for me.
