Yesterday we shared with you 11 Potty Training Tips that I found worked well for us and our kids. My 2 favorite tips are:
#1) Wait until your child is ready. With both of our children, I started trying to potty train them at 2 1/2 years of age. Both of them were smart kids who caught on to everything quickly…. except using the potty. By the time my kids were potty trained they were 3 1/2. Of course we didn’t spend a whole year trying to potty train. We took a break after a week of realizing that it was just not going to happen.
and…
#7) Set routine. Good hygeine in the bathroom is a MUST! Set the routine of potty, flush, wash hands. Kandoo Moisturizing Hand Soaps are brightly colored foam soaps that contain Vitamin E and Natural Fruit Extracts to moisturize while cleaning. These soaps are dermatologist tested and hypoallergenic so you can be sure they are safe for little hands. Because of the colored foam, your little one will be able to tell if they have covered the whole surface of their hand making sure all the germs and dirt is scrubbed off.

When my girls were small, I just took off their diaper and placed the potty in the livingroom where they go play most often. My oldest hated being dirty ( she would scream to get a diaper change even if it was sweat and not pee lol), so she potty trained herself at a year and a half old. But my youngest didnt care about being dirty ( she would come out of her room with her diaper down to her knees and still didn't want to be changed, even though when I saw this I would change her right away lol) , she didn't mind peeing on my floors so she potty trained herself, but she was two and a half. I tried to train my oldest, but her and I would just get frustrated and it never worked, so I definately sugest trying this, you do get messes but that shouldn't last long☺

The key is not to rush the child into training if they're not ready. When the right time comes, read them books about potty training. When they have accidents, comfort them don't make them into a big deal.

Reward them when they go, eventually they will without needing it
